We started our growing patterns and function (algebra) unit this week. It is a quick one. Students have looked at input/output tables, found rules for them, and will be creating a poster of their own original growing pattern - complete with pictures and table that reveal rule they've created.
This month is Reading month! Check out the parent emails for more info. This week is the bookmark contest. Have your child create one at home. Paper has been given to them by Ms. Sayyora. Enjoy the warm weather, beautifully cool evenings, and the pictures from this week!
Owl: Olga
Homework:
Get ready for your Biography book
presentation. Think about what kind of puppet you will make. Read
and enjoy your biography!
Monday: Hand-made vs. Factory-made home items (You don't have to completely fill-in both sections. Find what you can. Search and have fun!)
Tuesday: In your spelling notebook, write definitions
of words with the root, MAN. Memorize a few!
Wednesday: Work on IXL, section H. Functions.
Thursday: Cut and match MAN words. Bring
in all pieces held together with a clip.
Friday: Read and relax in the shade under a tree outside. Lie in the grass. Have fun!
