Volume 2: 22 August 2016

This is really a follow-up post to last week's opening day. Look for a post later this week, or next Monday. Some important events to note this week are a grade level gathering Wednesday after-school and Open House Thursday. I hope to see you there. Enjoy the remainder of last week in photos.

Homework:
Along with reading for 20 minutes each night, please complete the following each day:

Monday: Moving Day & Brads’ Robot Activities
Tuesday: Volcano Adventure
Wednesday: IXL Math Number Sense https://www.ixl.com/signin/tashkent Grade 4 B.8 and C.6
Thursday: Math Problem Solving
Friday: Relax outside and play in the grass, while eating a peach and balancing on a ball.

 Math: Multiples, estimating, grouping, sums, multiplication, arrays, "groups of", and more.


 Uzbek Tea Party with Ms. Shakhnoza. We shared traditions, cultures, and opened our minds to new ideas.


 Planning a role-play that shows the community agreements we created.





 Creating our basegroup signs and discussing which learner attribute we embody as a group.




 Sharing our Mystery Objects! Great adjectives and hysterical laughter was had by all.

Close to 100: A mathematical game that involves manipulating the magnificent power of our base 10 math system.
