Volume 27: March 4, 2016

Such a busy week it was, that this post is out a few days later than expected. Our myth writing continues, as we take our work through the writing process. This Friday, we came up with the idea to share our hard work with all of grade 4. Our study of Landmarks continues, as we delve into practice with rounding, addition and subtraction strategies, standard/word/expanded forms of numbers, comparing and ordering numbers, and more. Our book clubs discussions are focused on finding events that further the story and how author's use interesting dialogue to reveal the inner thoughts and feelings of characters. We are using these examples and adding our own ideas to our weather myths. On another notes, Tuesday is Women's Appreciation Day. Thank you to everything you do. Basically, everyday should be your day. Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Homework:
Monday: Rounding Numbers Activity
Tuesday: No School
Wednesday: IXL Number Sense, Addition, Subtraction

Dance to the song of the Week!

Here we have the best teacher of them all sharing his outstanding myth. It turns out there was a second episode brewing in his mind!
Onomatopoeia is literary device that helps do many things, including capturing the reader's attention with wicked cool sound effects!

Thanks to the Tien Shan Basketball Team! Our celebrity poses, of course!

... because we can.
So cool! Look closely, one of us is in the air!
 Autographs from the winners.

Myth writing is a collaborative process. It has to make sense, right?
